The Arri 35 Xtream is a high-performance Super 35 digital cinema camera designed for professional filmmakers who require both speed and precision. Incorporating ARRI’s newest ALEV 4 CMOS sensor, it delivers a remarkable 17 stops of dynamic range and native 4.6K resolution, ensuring exceptional color reproduction and tonal depth across all lighting conditions.​

Built on the proven foundation of the Alexa 35, the Xtreme edition introduces a powerful new main processor and enhanced recording architecture. These hardware upgrades enable frame rates up to 330 fps while preserving full dynamic range, and up to 660 fps through ARRI’s Sensor Overdrive mode when reduced dynamic range is acceptable—eliminating the need for separate high-speed cameras.​

The camera debuts ARRICORE, ARRI’s advanced RGB codec, optimized for flexibility and efficient data handling. ARRICORE maintains full color control in post-production, with ISO, white balance, and tint adjustments remaining metadata-driven rather than baked into the image. It complements standard ARRIRAW and ProRes recording, retaining smooth integration with existing workflows.​

Color fidelity is handled through the REVEAL Color Science pipeline, while ARRI Textures and the ALF4 Look File provide powerful creative control on set. The system supports multiple aspect ratios and anamorphic formats with desqueeze options from 1.25x to 2.00x, making it an adaptable choice for narrative, commercial, and high-speed applications alike.

Compact yet robust, the Arri 35 Xtream weighs approximately 2.9 kg and maintains the same ergonomic body and I/O layout as the Alexa 35, ensuring compatibility with existing accessories and rigs.
